Resumen:
We report a spectroscopic and ionic photofragmentation study of three related -C(O)S- species: CH3C(O)SCH3, CH3C(O)SH and CH3OC(O)SCl, throughout the whole region of the S 1s K-shell using monochromatic synchrotron radiation. Multi-stop time-of-flight mass spectrometry was used to collect PEPICO and PEPIPICO spectra simultaneously. The existence of processes leading to the atomization of the inner-shell ionized sulfenylcarbonyl species can be inferred by the observation multiply-charged atomic species in the coincidence mass spectra. In this context, Coulomb explosion mechanisms must play a relevant role in the dynamic of fragmentation of core excited species.
