DNA based sensor for early diagnosis

Many pathologies remain without differential and clear diagnosis. Therefore, it is necessary to develop tools for early diagnosis using specific biomarkers. Micro RNA (miRNA) play a major role in gene regulation. Circulating miRNA in body fluids are promising diagnosis biomarkers due to their structural stability and distinct expression in many diseases. Here, we present a systematic design procedure for performance optimization of DNA sequences as highly sensitive and selective probes for miRNA detection based on hybridization.
