 We present a population synthesis study of the cooling sequence of theglobular cluster 47 Tucanae. We study the distribution of effective temperatures, themorphology of the color-magnitude diagram, and the magnitude and color distribu-tions. We find that our simulations are in very good agreement with the observationaldata, once all the observational biases are taken into account. Our study also rules outprevious claims that there are still missing physics in the white dwarf cooling modelsat moderately high effective temperatures. We also fit the age of the cluster using thetermination of the cooling sequence, finding an age consistent with that determined us-ing the main-sequence turn-off. Finally, we also investigate the star formation historyof the cluster, finding that is compatible with that obtained using main sequence stars.
