Resumen:
Larvae of the family Heterocheilidae are reported for the first time in three species of amphibians from northern Argentina, namely, Lepidobatrachus laevis (Anura: Ceratophryidae) from Formosa province and Physalaemus albonotatus (Anura: Leiuperidae) and Pseudis paradoxa (Anura: Hylidae) from Corrientes province. Specimens were found encapsulated in the mesentery, abdominal cavity, serous of stomach and intestine of hosts. The larvae exhibited the main characteristics of the larvae of genus Brevimulticaecum that were found in other amphibian hosts, such as short ventricular appendices and the position of excretory pore and excretory nucleus but, without the adult stages, we can not confirm this. This larva is described and illustrated.
