Resumen:
Primaryprogressiveaphasia(PPA)ischaracterizedpredominantlybyalinguisticimpairment.RecentandpreviousevidencehaveshownthepresenceofparkinsonisminpatientswithdiagnosisofPPA.FurtherevidencecharacterizesdifferentialatrophypatternsoftheclinicalsubtypesofPPA:nonfluent(PNFA),semanticdementia(SD)andlogopenic(PLA).Theaimofthisstudyistodeterminetheprevalenceofparkinsoniansignsinthe3variantsofPPAandtoinvestigatetheassociationofPPAatrophyandtheseparkinsoniansigns.assessment.WefoundnodifferencesinageandgenderbetweenPPApatients(average69DS5,17;32%masc)andcontrols(average68,5DS6,01;37%masc).BesidestheresultsshowednodifferencesamongPPAsubtypesinyearsofevolution,ageandtotalUPDRSscore.
