Resumen:
This article is a product of the dialogues in the thematic framework called: ?Education and public policies of Latin American states in neoliberal times; protections and unprotections ?. This axis was presented in universities and Latin American countries. The objective is to problematize pedagogical work (Bourdieu, 1998) through the concept of crossroads education (Maritain, 2006) that invites us to review the senses of school and education in times of institutional crisis. The concept of "crossroads education" (Maritain, 2006) invites us to think of ourselves as contemporary educators with humanistic awareness, and not as reproducers of technical competence. The participating educators agreed in the academic conversations, discussion groups, and round tables with some of the appointments that were presented in the groups ?..the debate about the public is the debate about the political.? (Danani, 2011). Taking the concept to the educational field. Finally, part of the work of Paugam (2010) is taken to elucidate the complexity of the educational field and the distance-objectivities (Durkheim in Paugam, 2010: 340) of the educator. Set of relationships that can help the set of educators.
