This article is a product of the dialogues in the thematic framework called: ?Education and public policies of Latin American states in neoliberal times; protections and unprotections ?. This axis was presented in universities and Latin American countries. The objective is to problematize pedagogical work (Bourdieu, 1998) through the concept of crossroads education (Maritain, 2006) that invites us to review the senses of school and education in times of institutional crisis.
