Resumen:
In electrocatalytic processes, the choice of the electrode material is a crucial issue in order to improve its efficiency, environmental impact, and operating cost. In that sense, hybrid nanostructured materials obtained from organic and inorganic components are promising candidates. In this work hyperbranched polyester polyols were physisorbed on the mesoporous silica sieve SBA-15 to assess its application as electrocatalytic platform. The composites were characterized by infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photo electron spectroscopy (XPS), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and nitrogen adsorption-desorption. The surface of glassy carbon electrodes (GCE) was modified with the hybrid materials and then copper was electrodeposited. These platforms proved to be efficient for the electrocatalysis of hydrogen peroxide reduction, resulting as useful alternatives for the development of nonenzymatic amperometric sensors.
