Resumen:
A forest biorefinery is a structure that generates fuels, energy and chemical products fromlignocellulosic biomass of the primary processing of wood (e.g. sawdust). There is a variety ofphysical, chemical, physicochemical and biological pre-treatments for forest-industrial wastesfractionation into their main components. Alkaline pulpings, free of sulfurous components, arestudied as an alternative for lignocellulosic biomass pre-treatment. Oxygen delignification underalkaline conditions is used for the further removal of residual lignin from pulps. The objective of this work is to study a delignifying strategy for a sequentialfractionation of a resinous pine sawdust (Pinus elliotti and Pinus taeda sawdustmix), as an alternative technically coherent, and economically and environmentallysustainable, following a biorefinery concept.
