Resumen:
In this paper, the design, development and implementation of a vibration monitoring software for Kaplan turbines is described. The machine conditions are determined from the spectrum of the signals using different approaches depending on the frequency characteristics. Lines and spectral regions are identified in the processing of the machine signals, using the first for low-frequency analyzing, focus on problems such as unbalance and blades deformation. Spectral regions are used for the analysis in high frequency, which energy concentration could be related to cavitation or resonance phenomena. This system was developed under LabVIEWTM platform, storing the processed data in to a database built on MySQL.
