Resumen:
The most effective and efficient corrosion inhibitors areorganic compounds that have pi bonds, heteroatoms (P, S,N and O), and inorganic compounds, such as chromates, dichromates, nitrites and so on. However, the use of thesecompounds has been questioned lately, due to the negativeeffects they cause in the environment, hence the growinginterest in seeking to replace them. The inhibiting effect ofAloe Saponaria gel on the corrosion process of aluminumin an acid medium of 0.5 M HCl was analyzed. Measurementsof polarization potentiodynamic, ElectrochemicalImpedance Spectroscopy and weight loss were employed,in acid medium in absence and presence of the inhibitor, atdifferent concentrations (10, 20, 30% v/v), at the followingtemperatures: 293, 308, 315 and 323 K. The resultsobtained in the different concentrations show an increasein the efficiency of the inhibitor effect at 293 K.
