Resumen:
The specific objective of this work was to assess whether differences between potential and actual yield under a Mediterranean environment, such as that of the Ebro valley, could be in part overcame with N fertilization. In order to achieve the purposeful objective, the study was carried out in three phases: (i) estimation of the genetic coefficients; (ii) validation of genetic coefficients and crop model, and (iii) quantifying the yield gap for determining to what degree it could be ascribed by N availability.
