Resumen:
Since the discovery of intermolecular multiple quantum coherences (iMQCs) in solution NMR due to the distant dipolar field (DDF) of spins, great attention has been paid to this subject. Up to now this effect could only be detected inliquids, as the thermal magnetization M0 in gases is not sufficient. By using laser polarized (LP) gases M0 can be increased tremendously. In this work we present the first measurements of the distant dipolar field in the gas phase bydetecting the intermolecular double quantum coherence (iDQC) of LP 3He. Additionally, during the course of the experiments a totally unexplained echo position shift was encountered for a standard Hahn Echo sequence. Differentexperiments were the diffusion coefficient of 3He was manipulated by admixing with a heavier buffer gas (SF6) were done and numerical simulations were carried on in order to explain this new phenomena.
