Resumen:
In recent years electroaerodynamic actuators have been rather intensively studied in order to control airflow [H. Velkoff, R. Godfrey, J. of HeatTransfer 101 (1979) 157; S. El-Khabiry, G.M. Their principle is to produce a plasma in which ions are submitted to electric field. Then, the molecules of airare drifted by ions, generating an “electric wind”. In the LEA (Laboratoire d´Etudes Aérodynamiques), three kinds of actuators have been mainlyperformed and studied: the DC actuator, the DBD actuator and the sliding discharge actuator. In the present paper we will first examine briefly thesetup of each kind of actuators and how they produce electric wind. Then we will describe a new kind of device based on two DBD actuators andperformed to generate a micro-jet in an adjustable direction.© 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
