Resumen:
Ungulates, mammals that have hooves, comprise a wide range of forms, which are associated with the diversification of some regions of the body, e.g. skull and limbs. The ungulate skull presents a myriad of anatomical features, which are related to the evolutionary history of the subgroups and specializations associated with other factors, as feeding and breathing. Extant hoofed mammals with available biological information were used to predict such specializations in extinct lineages of ungulates. In fact of that, the use of 3D representation is a useful tool for describing anatomical features and test hypotheses of the biology of extinct ungulates.
