This communication reports on the advantages of a new composite material obtained by dispersion of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNT) in mineral oil. The resulting electrode, carbon nanotubes paste electrodes, was used in two directions, for the development of enzimatic biosensors containing glucose oxidase, polyphenol oxidase and alcohol dehydrogenase based on the catalytic activity of nanotubes on the redox behavior of hydrogen peroxide, hydroquinone and NADH and for the adsorption and electrooxidation of nucleic acid, a pre-treatment being necessary to improve the performance.
