Resumen:
We present a computational implementation of a method for synthesis of compliant mechanisms using rigid-body replacement. This method consists in solving the synthesis problem for rigid mechanisms, and then applying rules to identify rigid members -links and joints- as the pseudo-rigid body models of their compliant equivalents. The replacement rules are very simple, and were implemented on an already available solver for type and dimensional synthesis of linkages.
