Resumen:
A promising approach to prepare high performance cellulose-reinforced biodegradablematerials is the production of innovative composites made completely from celluloseaccording to the concept of single-polymer composites. All-cellulose composites (ACCs)are distinguished for the excellent interfacial adhesion between the matrix and thereinforcement which results in outstanding mechanical properties, and for their enhancedrecyclability. In this context, the current chapter will focus on the most importantprocessing routes and the main properties of ACCs and ACNCs (all-cellulosenanocomposites) totally or partially derived from natural plant fibers, using either the entirefibers or the cellulose isolated from them.
