We report the anticonvulsant activity of 5-hexenoic acid and 2-aminooctanoic acid. This finding becomes of special interest due to their potential for integration into the rational design of ketogenic diets, which have demonstrated promise in reducing seizure frequency and severity. Further in vivo and in vitro assays are among the prospects of this study.
