Resumen:
The Neuquén Basin is one of the most studiedhydrocarbon basins in Argentina and contains many of the most importantunconventional reservoirs worldwide. In recent years, new invaluablegeochronological and chronostratigraphical data were provided from this basin, pointing out that there is still much knowledge to be produced. This SpecialIssue focused on recent contributions toward understanding the geology, paleontology, stratigraphy, structure, and the tectonic, magmatic andsedimentary evolution of the Neuquén Basin. This special issue arose with a lot of effort afterthe pandemic and includes 7 novel articles that deal with different aspects ofthe Neuquén basin
