Resumen:
In Sierra de Valle Fértil, Triassic basaltic flows overlie the igneous-metamorphic basement. The microchemical analysis of a plagioclase xenocryst included in the Basalts, indicates a very constrained and homogeneous compositional range of the core (An42-An39), whereas the sieve-textured rims have a highly variable Composition (An62-An14), showing evidence of chemical disequilibrium with the host basalt. The optical characteristics and compositional range of the xenocryst are consistent with those of plagioclase from granodiorites belonging to the basement.
