Resumen:
The obtention of muscle paths and lengths, is one of the most important processes in the simulation of musculoskeletal models. In this work, the trajectories of 26 muscles of the lower limb are obtained from a magnetic resonance study of a living subject. The muscle paths obtained for each muscle are represented as: straight line, path of centroids and approximation with polynomials of order 3, 5 and 10. From the analysis of the different forms of representation of the trajectories, it is decided to use the representation as a polynomial of order 3 due to the accuracy obtained with this representation in estimating muscle length, and the lower number of parameters used compared to the other estimates
