Uterine receptivity and embryo implantation are two main processes that need a finely regulated balance between pro-inflammatory and tolerogenic mediators in order to allow a successful pregnancy. The immunopeptide VIP is a key regulator and is involved in the recruitment of regulatory T cells (Tregs) which are crucial in both periods. VIP-knockout mice show cycling disorders and pregnancy complications. Here, we analyzed, using two mice models, the relevance of VIP associated with the recruitment of Tregs.
