Resumen:
Tuberculosis is one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide. In 2015, 10.3 million people became ill with tuberculosis and 1.8 million died from this disease.Although the BCG vaccine confers protection against severe forms in childhood, it does not protect adults, and it is estimated that one-third of the world population has latent tuberculosis (LTBI). Having a risk of getting sick, the detection of LTBI is very important to our health and to the eradication of the disease.Diagnos-TB requires the extraction of a small amount of blood (5 ml), which is placed in collection tubes previously prepared with a combination of peptides (some published in bibliography and others developed (and patented) by us).The sample is then processed (incubation and common laboratory centrifugation), and afterwards an ELISA test is performed for the final determination of the diagnosis, in 24-36hs.The product then consists of the collection tubes already prepared, plus the set of disposable and reactive components for the ELISA test.
