Resumen:
We call Synthetic Ecology to a system in which two or more strain can begrown in stable, defined and tunable proportions. This brings a new levelof modularity: the cell, allowing the construction of more complex systems.Dividing a big system into different cells would allow for sub-system isolation, therefore reducingunintended interactions among components. Furthermore this would allow the re-utilizationof the same parts in different cells for different functions.
