Resumen:
A paleomagnetic study wascarried out in 28 sampling sites on volcanic and volcaniclastic rocks of theLos Menucos Complex, outcropping in the North Patagonian Massif, Argentina.Preliminary results allow to determine that most of the units are carriers ofhigh quality magnetic remanences, defining the Complex as a potential source ofreference paleomagnetic pole for the Triassic. At least two acquisition eventswere recognized, an older linked to a predominantly reverse geomagnetic fieldand other younger exclusively normal, recorded in 16 and 11 sites respectively.
