The formal pragmatics of language (Apel and Habermas) have reconstructed a set of presuppositions to which they have attributed a specific ethical content and thus have made them the axis of an ethical proposal, the discourse ethics. However, this ethical content has been questioned by several authors. In this article, some of these objections are addressed first (II and III), then they are given an answer as it is possible to reconstruct it in the work of Apel and Habermas (IV) and finally try to show a more interesting aspect than those objections pose and how it can be developed.
