Resumen:
Professional trajectories of generational groups of scholars and political context in Argentina: towards a typology Monica Marquina (UNGS – Argentina) José Yuni (UNCa – Argentina) Abstract The purpose of this paper is to analyze the professional trajectories of Argentine academics by recognizing between three age groups. Trajectories analysis is done by considering the socio-cultural capital of origin and the accumulated academic capital. We also consider the time between obtaining the first degree and the moment of access to the first position, the type of activities and direction of their research practices. To complete the analysis of trajectories, the level of satisfaction with academic work by generational geoups is also considered. The hypothesis that underpins this analysis is that every age group has shaped his career under the performative conditions of government higher education policies in different socio-political moments. Hence it is possible to distinguish "types" of trajectories, confirming certain theoretical advances that have been in the same direction.
