This Project´s objective is analysing key legal and institutional issues of potential future threats posed by Naer-Earth Objects (NEOs) and international efforts to mitigate them. This concerns the general responsibilities to act in relevant cases, liabilities that might arise,the use of force for the purpose of NEO threat mitigation, the appropriate institutional structur and the potential for private and government commercial involvement in relevant missions. Engaging top experts from around the world through the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) and other relevant NGOs (See list of members of the Advisory Board in the attached file with the complete work), the Research Project resulted in a Report which was made available to the international community of States, particularly of UNCOPUOS and its Subcommittees, and other decision-making bodies and an international, governmental and space agency level, in order to advance the creation of an appropriate and workable international and decision-making framework for NEO threat mitigation efforts-
