WilliamsNOTA IMPORTANTELa publicación que aquí se adjunta refleja la presentación hecha por d la presidenta de la Comisión de Derecho Espacial de la International Law Association, Prof. Silvia Maureen Williams Part ONE, de autoría individual, y de su relator general, Prof. Stephan Hobe de la Universidad de Colonia(Part TWO), Alemania, de autoría compartida) en ocasión de la 77a Conferencia Mundial de la International Law Association (ILA), celebrada en Johannesburg, Sudáfrica,en  agosto de 2016. Vale decir que el trabajo que se adjunta es parte de  a  la ´working session´ de la Comisión mencionada. Luego de esta sesión en Johannesburgo este trabajo pasó a  constituir un capítulo especial del libro que se edita por esta institución luego de sus conferencias bienales. Lo referimos bajo el acápite de Revistas Especializadas de esta presentación (y no como capítulo de libro, a pesar de su formato), por tratarse de una colección bienal. Por este motivo, según nos han explicado,   figura con  ISSN.ABSTRACT  ProfessorWilliams referred initially to the Committees terms of reference. The central topics included dispute settlement, legal aspects of suborbital flights,satellite data in international litigation (new applications) and recentdevelopments on space debris. She reminded the audience that the terms ofreference added, in fine, a recommendation to ?keep a general brief overfurther developments during the term of the mandate?. In this context two itemswere discussed, namely (a) space security and cyber security, and (b) asteroidmining in light of the US recent Act concerning "Commercial Space LawCompetitiveness of 25 November 2015" and a Statement from the Board of Directorsof the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) on 20 December 2015, in clear response to the USA Act.
