The Use of Satellite Data in Court Proceedings

This paper explores the ways ands means of overcoming the difficulties and posible disputes arising from the use of satellite data in court. It is indeed hard to assert the validity of this data once it has gone through a long chain of interpretations from the moment it is collected to the time the end product is made use of in court. The advisability of resorting,in case of conflict, to the Rules for Arbitration recently designed by the Permanent Court of Arbitration (effective since 6 December 2011) and on the drafting of which the present autor intervened, is further considered.
