Resumen:
Space Debris in the International Law Association   As announced by this author in Volume XIV of the Yearbook of International Environmental Law, the 71st Conference of the International Law Association (ILA) took place in Berlin during 16-21 August 2004. On this occasion the ILA Space Law Committee submitted its Report entitled Legal Aspects of the Privatisation and Commercialisation of Space Activities with special reference to Remote Sensing (RS) and National Space Legislation (NSL) . When streamlining the different chapters of the Berlin Report the growth of commercial activities in space appears as leitmotiv and, as its natural consequence, the increased risk of damage to the environment caused by space debris. As customary, this subject continues under permanent study and updating by the ILA Space Law Committee in accordance with the terms of reference laid down by the ILA Council after the adoption, by the 66th Conference, of the International Instrument on the Protection of the Environment from Damage caused by Space Debris.
