Part I of the Report concerns the work of the Committee Chair, ¨Professor Maureen Williams, on the issue of remote sening satellites. It includes a number of conclusions which reflect the general thinking of the time and, to a great extent, customary international law on the subject. It also focuses on the question of earth oberservation satellites and data collection and its value in international and national litigation. This Report was adopted by the 71st Confernece of the International Law Association,. without disent (Berlin, August 2004).
