Two veterinary diseases that affect ruminants, Brucellosis and Anaplasmosis, have been used as model for demonstration of immunosensor development for diagnosis application. Both diseases are widely distributed in many countries and causing great economical loss and therefore having international significance. The instrumentation set up of the immunosensor is based on an optode configuration. The immunoreagents used (BP26 and MSP5 antigenic proteins) for Brucella sp. and Anaplasma sp. diagnostic has been selected for its specificity and reliability and showed suitable performance for clinical veterinary application.
