Resumen:
ol-gel chemistry based on alkoxides prevents the formation of unwanted products, in addition to enable a greatest control on the final product. On the other hand, the catalytic properties of heteropoly compounds, particulary those with the Keggin structure, have drawn wide attention in the last decades1. Heteropolyacids (HPAs) have several advantages as catalysts which make them economically and environmentally attractive2. Several nanosilicas were prepared from tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and trimethoxymethylsilane (MTMS) by using the sol-gel method. These solids are synthesized with the final objective of being used as adhesive and film fillers; they will be functional as antimicrobials, once incorporated Cu and Ag in the HPA structure.
