Resumen:
VOCs emission from Chaco Serrano native plants in Córdoba, Argentina were identified. The techniquerelies on the use of collapsible chambers and dynamic headspeace. The organic compounds are adsorbedby the selective affinity of Porapak Q and Carbotrap, used mainly for VOCs capture. A wide variety ofcompounds, such as aliphatic alkanes, alcohols and a ketone were identified by GC-MS. L-limonene wasthe main monoterpene emitted by all species sampled. Lithraea molleoides was the only specie withoutnocturnal emissions. Furthermore, in comparison with Zanthoxylum coco and Vachellia caven, the lowestnumber of compounds were observed. Due to the great lack of information on emissions from native plantspecies, there is a need for further study to improve emission inventory in order to enhance knowledge oftheir atmospheric implications. Keywords: native species, dynamic headspeace, BVOCs, monoterpenes.
