Resumen:
The aim of this chapter is to illustrate, through different examples, the importanceof the design of hybrid materials and the properties obtained as a consequenceof the presence of hyperbranching and adequate functionalization. We will showprominent examples of chemical modification on different substrates (flat surfacesor curved 3D structures). As substrates, we have selected inorganic or highlycrosslinked organic polymers such as porous polymeric supports, inorganic nanoparticles,or electrodes, in order to obtain greater insight into the control and adjustabilitybased on size, architecture, and functionality. We place special emphasison structure/property relationships and provide interesting examples of potentialapplications and uses.
