Resumen:
PósterAbstract: The Auger Muons and Infill for the Ground Array (AMIGA) aims to extend the detection range of the Pierre Auger Observatory [1] to observecosmic rays of lower energies (> 1016.5 eV) and to directly measure the muon content of extensive air showers. AMIGA consists of an infill of water-Cherenkov detectors, and underground muon detectors (also part of AugerPrime, the upgrade of the Pierre Auger Observatory). Each muon detector has three 10 m2 modules with 64 plastic-scintillator strips with embedded wavelength-shifter optical fibers. The optical sensor consists of an array of silicon photomultipliers. To enhance the dynamic range of the muon detectors two operation modes are implemented: the counter mode and the integrator mode. In this work, we describe the main characteristics of the muon detector and the calibration of its different operation modes.
