Our main research goal proposes to explore mostly what cellular and molecular mechanisms govern the generation and maintenance of tumors originated from cells that went through reprogramming process and how the tumor microenvironment is involved during the turning on/off of genes, modulating their expression patterns that regulate cell plasticity. Our strategies involve the use human tumor samples (monolayers and 3 D cultures) and mouse xenograft models.
