Resumen:
The analysis of faunal remains from archaeological sites is interesting from different points of view. Firts, teh exploutation of the fauna by aborigines as an economic resource. Second, the interpretation of palaeoenvironments based on the modifications in the corology of different species since the Late Pleistocene.
The aim of this paper is to analyse the palaeoenvironmental aspects and the exploitation of the fauna by hunter-gatherers using three arcaheological sites from the Pampean and Patagonian regions as examples.
