Resumen:
Cultural and faunal remains from archaeological sites from the Rio de la Plata littoral have been studied, attempting to verify their primary associations and occupations during the Holocene. The hypothesis proposed is that the human occupations are not contemporaneous with the shell ridge formation. Usually, in this kind of site the cultural sequence could be disturbed as a consequence of environmental and geological events, like floodings.
