Resumen:
Chagas disease is a chronic infection responsible of thousands of death each year in Latin America. The main cycle of transmission includes hosts (human, dog, opossum, raccoon) and vectors which are hematophagous kissing bugs : the Triatomine (Hemiptera, Reduviidae). The pathogen is a flagellate protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi.Vectors populations are subjected to the effects of the environmental stochasticity, defined as unpredictable variations of the environment. In this context, our objective is to study the impact of such environmental stochasticity on the evolution of virulence of T. cruzi using Adaptive Dynamics approach.
