Resumen:
The acetylation reaction is important for the protection of OH groups, and also to obtain compounds of interest for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics or food industries. Here zirconia, prepared from zirconyl chloride and polyethylene glycol (P) of different molecular weight (MW) (400, 2000, 6000 Da) as pore forming agent, was impregnated with boric acid (B) and/or tungstophosphoric acid (W). The solids (PXB, PXW, PXBW, with X the MW of P) were tested as catalyst in the 2-phenoxyethanol acetylation with acetic acid
