Resumen:
ABSTRACTMagma flow pattern of granite plutons and their morphology at depth are established fromstructural studies and gravity data, respectively. This contribution presents preliminary results froma gravity survey in the Calmayo trondhjemite, a small Famatinian pluton located in the easternSierras Pampeanas at Córdoba. The map of residuals is characterized by a negative anomalyreaching 3.5 mGal. By using a two-layer model and reference densities of 2,64 gr/cm3 for thetrondhjemites and 2.78± 0.04 g/cm3 for the country rocks, such gravity anomaly reveals a sheetlikegeometry with a thickness of ≈ 400 m and a possible root zone, extending 1.2 km down, belowthe central sector of the pluton. This new gravity information is combined with field and anisotropyof the magnetic susceptibility data from the Calmayo pluton - and contrasted against results of aprevious study from the El Hongo trondhjemite - in order to discuss the possible influence of theSoconcho shear zone in the ascent and emplacement of the magma
