Resumen:
The South American margin is characterized by the successive accretion of terranes (Pampia,Precordillera-Cuyania, and Chilenia) during the Early-Middle Palaeozoic; the evolution of theassociated magmatic arcs and the collisional settings can be studied through the presently outcroppingrelated granitoids. The Sierras de Córdoba are an outstanding place to study the Pampean, Famatinianand Achalian magmatism, linked to the aforementioned accretions in the Cambrian, Ordovician andDevonian, respectively. This contribution presents preliminary results of the paleomagnetic study of the Calmayo tonalite, anOrdovician pluton outcropping in the Sierra Chica de Córdoba (Fig. 1). The results allowedestablishing several working hypotheses involving the Pampean terrane history, and the way it wasaffected by later deformation events.
