Resumen:
We have investigated the behaviour of strongly-coupled charged bosonic atoms (Rubidium), moving in twodimensions, and interacting through a repulsive K0(r) potential and held together by an anisotropicharmonic potential within the variational approximation. We show that the increase of the anisotropy of the confinement potential can drive the system from a two-dimensional (2D) to a one-dimensional (1D) configuration. Firstly, we obtain the density profiles and compare with recent experiments and theoretical results. Furthermore, we analyze the stability of the ground state configurations using the functional form of the inter-particle interaction potential. Secondly, we have found two different analytical expressions for the coupling constant above the transition from BEC to Wigner Crystal, and shown that they depend on the anisotropy parameter and particle numbers.
