Resumen:
Thermoplastic films based on native cassava starch (TPS)and amylopectin rich cassava starch (AP) with, initially, nano and micro grain sizedistribution (TPS:AP = 100:0 (TPS), 75:25 (TPS-AP25) and 50:50 (TPS-AP50)) weredeveloped by extrusion process. Mechanicalproperties indicated the AP with nanometersize acted as reinforcement in TPS-AP25, while in TPS-AP50 the higher amylopectinconcentration led to lower tensile properties. TGA and XRD revealed a higher glycerol loss mass with the highest amount ofAP used.
