Resumen:
Chemical modification of starch could lead to films with different enhanced physicochemical and mechanical characteristics (Pérez-Gallardo et al., 2012; Colivet and Carvalho, 2017). In this work, the effect of carboximethylation (CMS) and acid hydrolysis (HS) in the mechanical properties of films obtained by extrusion followed by thermo-compression were investigated. A film with equal concentration of both modified starches was also studied.
