Resumen:
In light of the global concern for recycling materials, fiber-reinforced biodegradable films have been investigated, because they have successfully proven their value to replace synthetic plastics due to their excellent specific properties. Furthermore, fiber improves tensile strength and, if it antioxidant and/or protein properties, it can promote the protection of, for example, foodstuffs to covering. Natural fibers are of basic interest since their great adhesion and compatibility specifically with polar matrix materials. They also have good potential for use in waste management due to their biodegradability. This work presents preliminary results of the effect of the incorporation of different concentrations of lentil fibers reinforcement of thermoplastic starch films developed by casting.
