Resumen:
We review the role played by the ´μ from ν´ supersymmetricstandard model (μνSSM) in the search for supersymmetry. First, wediscuss its theoretical motivation, that is the simultaneous solutionof μ- and ν-problems through the introduction of right-handedneutrinos. The latter produces R-parity violation (RPV), giving riseto interesting signals of new physics. As by-products, in the μνSSMthere are dark matter candidates, and electroweak baryogenesis can berealized. Then, we survey signals by which the model could be testedat the large hadron collider (LHC). In addition to the enlarged Higgssector with sneutrinos, we put special emphasis in analyzing theintimate connection between the lightest supersymmetric particle(LSP) lifetime and the size of neutrino Yukawa couplings. Displacedvertices and/or multileptons are some of the interesting signaturesthat can be probed. Finally, we discuss possible extensions of theμνSSM such as the inclusion in the superpotential of theconventional trilinear lepton-number violating couplings, theaddition of an extra U(1)′ gauge group to the symmetry of thestandard model, or the reinterpretation of the Higgs doublets as afourth family of leptons superfields motivating the existence of afourth family of vector-like quark doublet superfields.p { margin-bottom: 0.1in; line-height: 120%; }a:link { }
