Resumen:
In a chemically induced model of mammary tumors, wehave previously reported that histamine regulates tumorgrowth by acting through specific H1 and H2 membranereceptors and that high levels of endogenouslysynthesized histamine behave as an autocrine growthfactor . On the basis of these data, we investigated thein vivo action of fluoromethyl-histidine (MFMH), aspecific histidine decarboxylase (HDC) inhibitor, andwhether histamine regulated HDC levels via its membrane receptors.
